The Pine has been running a little low right now, but we’re still managing to get into fish. They’re spooky because of the low water, so long leaders and light tippets are a must. Be sneaky and wear drab clothing to avoid scaring the big one before you get a chance to cast to him! The plus side of this is that we’re seeing a lot of big fish right now, and it’s always nice to know you’re casting to a fish! Egg patterns and small baetis, like bubbleback emergers and foam wing emergers, have been the winning ticket.
